Episode Seventy-Four “CONSTANTLY YEARNING” delivers a powerful, life altering lesson lifted out of a well-known, yet deceptively simple biblical conversation, whose subliminal message seems to have slipped by undetected for millennia!

While the previous two Episodes focused on loftier reasons to yearn for Geula: from identifying with the Creator’s concerns, to our own spiritual self-actualization — we now move on to learn about its optimal frequency and intensity.

Now, transcending truest and deepest causes, in this new Episode, we will address the questions of how constant, or profound is the Torah imperative of “Daily Longing for Moshiach,” and how significant should our efforts to experience this kind of anticipatory urgency be?

Drawing from the heartfelt, immortal words of the greatest Patriarch, it is clear that the mandated yearning for Geula is an embodiment of our path towards spiritual growth and fulfilment!

Here, the Burial Oath administered by Father Jacob to Joseph, the Righteous Viceroy of Egypt, become an inspiration for all time. Though originally designed to inspire daily desire in antiquity, they can serve to nurture hope and yearning for redemption today!

Like so many of the Rebbe’s inspired ruminations, this ingenious exploration and explanation is deeply rooted in the soil and strata of sacred time-honored classic sources that easily yield the novel approach so skillfully harvested.

This Episode about actively awaiting the Geula is dedicated L’eiluy Nishmat the legendary Shliach, HaRav Sholom Dovber ben R’ Eliyahu Akiva Lipskar z”l, who embodied this very kind of constant yearning in thought, speech, and deed.

It comprises the Seventy Fourth offering of our ongoing study series about the (final) Redemption, referred to as the Coming of Moshiach (Messiah); bringing us practical guidance and instruction of how to get us there faster!
