ANTICIPATION is a series featuring 120 segments – on the Twelfth Principle of our Jewish Faith: Belief in and Awaiting the Coming of The Messiah (Moshiach). We draw on a wide range of classic and contemporary commentaries to clearly address the burning issue of passive Waiting vs active Anticipation!

Episode Forty-Five, entitled ‘OWNING ANTICIPATION’ explores implications of the previously established Torah truism on the future Messianic reality being resultant of our Avodat (service to) Hashem [especially, but not exclusively] during exilic times.
As that imminent future isn’t an indirect remuneration, but a direct result of our efforts, it naturally follows that we’d best be mindfully creating the consequence. And that would necessarily engender anticipatory excitement!
The BIG question: is the mindfulness an individual mandate, or requisite requirement for everyone to take “ownership” of, and infuse observance with such anticipation?
Drawing on a wide range of sources, Owning Anticipation, makes that case for that personalization. It comprises the Forty-fifth segment of an ongoing study series on The Geula, our final Redemption referred to as the Coming of Moshiach (Messiah)!
