Episode Seventy-Seven, entitled “THIRSTING FOR REDEMPTION” opens where we left off (in the previous Episode): with the need for us to yearn for the full range of change to be ushered in by Moshiach. Here however, we dig deeper, analyzing earlier sources.

Never mind the wrongheaded ambivalence towards Moshiach and Geula, here we’ll discover not only a clear directive to constantly ask for Moshiach’s arrival, but furthermore the obligation to await it in a manner most passionate.

From an explicit scriptural statement on the emotive nature of exilic yearning to the classic sources explaining it — the point already made in the previous Episode is enhanced and energized. But that’s nothing compared to what comes next!

We move on to a fascinating look Back into the Future. A Heavenly Vision [literally] seen from the depths of Hell adds an incredibly powerful new layer of appreciation for the intense emotions that must punctuate our faithful anticipation.

From the Sands of the Sinai Desert to the Hills of King David’s Jerusalem, as redacted in the Book of Psalms and annotated by the classic commentaries comes a powerful, and practical directive on the importance of us Awaiting Redemption.

After laser-focusing the lessons drawn from the opening verses of the Forty Second Psalm, with remarkable clarity, the Rebbe directs us to the end of the psalm as it is illuminated by a classic Chasidic teaching; increasing impact by taking it from a conceptual plane into the rubric of everyday reality.

This Episode about passionately thirsting for Moshiach is dedicated L’eiluy Nishmat the legendary global Shlichut pioneer and innovator, Rabbi Moshe Yehudah ben R’ Tzvi Yosef Kotlarsky who’s emotionally charged yearning for the Geula was an inspiration to many, on occasion of his first Yahrzeit, Iyar 27.

It comprises the Seventy Seventh offering of our ongoing study series about the (final) Redemption, referred to as the Coming of Moshiach (Messiah); bringing us practical guidance and instruction of how to get us there faster!
