ANTICIPATION is a series featuring 120 segments – on the Twelfth Principle of our Jewish Faith: Belief in and Awaiting the Coming of The Messiah (Moshiach). We draw on a wide range of classic and contemporary commentaries to clearly address the burning issue of passive Waiting vs active Anticipation!

Episode Thirty-Nine, entitled LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER will break new ground in demonstrating why mindful yearning and anticipatory sentiments for Moshiach should best distilled into prayerful prose, rather than simply filling our consciousness, or even being verbalized — as clarified in the previous Episodes.
Here we introduce a Halachic precedent (and, as such, ultimately an obligation!) that exceeds mere articulation of conviction and anticipation for Redemption.
Following a logical progression, we are led into a natural conclusion: anticipation is indicative of a genuine need. And that should lead us to prayer!
The emphasis on using the medium of fervent prayer in response to even a mention of Moshiach’s coming inspires a deeper understanding of Anticipating Geula!
This is the Thirty Ninth segment of our ongoing study series on The Geula, our final Redemption generally referred to as the Coming of Moshiach (The Messiah).
