Studying Sha’ar HaBitachon, Rabbeinu Bachaya’s “Gate of Trust” ~ the Timeless Torah Tome that can teach US ALL How to Conquer Anxiety and Live with Tranquility!
___________________________

In the previous chapters, Rabbainu Bachaya clarified the nature of Trust in Hashem; by defining precisely what it is, isn’t, and explaining why it’s an important part of our spiritual composition. He also gave us Torah-true methodologies by virtue of which we can successfully develop and implement Bitachon in our day-to-day life.

Yet, in the same way that there are elements that best facilitate the nurturing of real clear Trust in G-d, there are also things that obstruct and diminish it.

Instruction regarding these harmful and detractive components, so that we know how to avoid them form the opening volley of Chapter Seven. As such this inaugural Episode entitled “TRUST ISSUES” begins by highlighting personal deficiencies and shortcomings that can get in the way of Building Bitachon.

After referencing the general failings that would interfere with other Faith Foundations, and as such negatively impact one’s Trust as well, we move onto a laser focus of the things that are uniquely detrimental and even detract from one’s Bitachon.

We’ll analyze the “Impediments of Ignorance:” from a lack of awareness regarding Hashem’s compassion and engagement with all things created, as well as lack of knowledge about His Torah and the clear instructions it contains about reliance on Hashem in certain matters.

This class has been sponsored by Michelle Kahn Celebrating the life of her brother Meechael Kalman Ben Tzvi Mordechai (z”l) on his Yahrtzeit, today the First of Iyar.
